Barbados


Just wanted to give a quick run down of some of the highlights from my recent trip to Barbados. Below are some of the species that I was lucky to get photo's of here is a quick list that I could not photograph>
Black-wiskered Vireo, Caribbean Martin, Shiny Cowbird, Grassland Yellow Finch, Masked Duck, Red-billed Tropicbird !

The biggest surprise of course was the pare of Eurasian Spoonbills, no reports of these lost birds have been recorded on the island, until now!

Eastern Screech Owl!

My lovely wife gets all the credit for this one. It buzzed her as she pulled into the back lane around 4:00pm.I raced home from work to see it, and it spent most of the evening
in the same spot!

First Post

Its only fitting that the first post be of Manitoba's provincial bird, Great Grey Owl.This guy  let me take photos of him for close to twenty minutes, before he moved on!
